Weight Loss Insurance For Your Jeans

weight loss insuranceHow many times have you decided not to purchase that new pair of jeans because you committed to your weight loss plan and you know that they’ll be too big for you in a few weeks or months?

You stick with the same old, dull clothes that you’ve been wearing for months and months.

Well, not any more!

Bertie Ranger, a former fitness competitor who gained 30 pounds (and subsequently lost 20 of it), had created what most women dream about – Jean insurance.

What she does is insure your jeans at 30% of the original purchase price, then when you lose the weight you want to lose, she buys them back at the original purchase price so that you can buy new jeans that fit.

No more worrying about investing in a pair of jeans that will only last a few weeks or months, insure your jeans and keep buying new ones as you get fit and healthy.

Very interesting concept that I encourage you to check out.

This is a really interesting idea. I have very few clothes because I keep hoping I will lose lots of weight and then be able to buy some really nice ones! Pity every shop does not offer such a deal!

Is this only for girls? I'm a guy but could use something like this. The thing is, my weight does not go up and down all that much, but my body composition does and my waistline is where the biggest change happens. I'm always overweight according to my BMI, but when I stick to a good diet and exercise routine I shed fat like crazy. I gain muscle at the same time so my weight does not change all the much, but my waistline sure does!

Hey , what the post said was really true, it has occured in many occassions when i had to forgo with a new pair of jeans thinking i would loose a few inches by that time.

A similar experience i would like to share is when i last went for shopping i bought for myself, two new pairs of jeans but at the same time i was concentrating heavily on weight loss and so after a few weeks these jeans were too loose for me, so if i had read this post earlier that would not have been the case.

This idea is amazing! Congrats on being able to push this! I think its great American encouragement for our culture to get fit AND be comfortable before we lose the weight. ...also, speaking of losing weight, I wanted to let everyone know of a NBC hit that really encourages becoming healthy and personal strength. AMERICAN GLADIATORS (monday 8/7c) is AMAZING! i really encourage everyone to check it out...then go get new jeans ;)

Check this clip

Great idea... but how about this one... buy a pair of jeans a size too small? I did this and within a very short frame of time I was able to fit them! Its great inspiration to lose weight!

What a great idea! I couldn't even tell you how often I have decided to NOT buy clothes because I wanted to lose more weight. Needless to say, my wardrobe is very sad right now!

Very nice concept. It would be cool to see other companies doing that, unfortunately these days most of them just look for profits in a short term so I believe this will be just one of kind.
Congratulations for your weight loss.

Rob That's a hoot! What often happens is that people (me) loses a lot of weight, buys a bunch of new clothes, gains weight, then I have a closet full of too small clothes!! (Does the insurance work the other way or is that too pessimistic?!

You've got a ton to share and an amazing story. I would love it if you would visit Rob, and put your blog link up on my site where my visitors can find you!
http://www.benaturallywell.com/blog/add-your-blog/ is the link.
I also have just opened up a forum I am looking for experienced weight loss people to share. Take a peek while you are there!

Many Blessings,

Very interesting concept. Now that's thinking outside of the box. Wouldn't be surprised to see her making the circuit (talk show) with that one if word gets out. Very cool!

I have jeans in every size from 8-16. It's just a mater of finding them. I think either way I should always have nice close that fit. It helps me feel nice, and that keeps me more active.

I think I will check this out! My family and I are doing a TV show about getting fit and eating healthier. Once we're done we'll all need new jeans!

This is the best idea I ever heard. So many women keep their smaller jeans for years, only to have them fall apart when they can finally fit in them again.

This is a great idea! I'm just going through replacing my wardrobe yet again - I don't mind too much, but my wife says clothes hanging off me doesn't look so good - I think it just shows how much weight I've lost!!

What a great idea! No more hanging on to my "fat" clothes just in case I need them again! That's the mentality that sets us up to fail to begin with. It's like saying, "Well, I know I will regain it eventually, so I might as well hang onto these jeans." I think it is time we set ourselves up to succeed!

I am exactly agree with what you've said.

This concept fascinates me from a business point of view. Since supposedly over 90% of dieters fail, she must make money from this. Also, used jeans have some real value.

My jeans are getting saggy at the moment and my planned solution is weight training and higher protein intake.
