I was wondering in my New Years Resolution blog whether blogging about two very different resolutions and therefore two different topics might seem odd to readers. But I see you have a similar mix.
One thing that I think is highly relevant to this is that the metaphor about doors closing and opening is just another way to say
"everything has it's cause" and to know that with every failure there is a way to learn from it.
This is true person always learn from his failures.

You have a very interesting blog about weight loss. I am a MD-MBA student who recently started a new blog. In my links of the day today, I have a link to an article about a new book that argues obese people make a conscious choice to be obese and we should not to try to change their mind.
