Natural Hormone Enhancement First Carbohydrate Cycle

Yesterday was the end of my first carbohydrate cycle on the natural hormone enhancement program. It was easier than I thought it would be.

I finished my arm and shoulder training in the gym and followed it up with a protein and fat shake and then gave it about an hour to digest. While I was digesting, I was cooking a pot of Brown Rice, Quinoa and brown lentils which takes about 45 minutes.

To meet the requirements of the carbohydrate cycle, I had to eat 100 grams of active carbohydrates with little protein to go with it. "Had to eat" is a bad term.. "I chose to eat" would be much better. The protein I chose was chicken breast. I ate about 10 grams of protein and then had the brown rice. To get 100 grams, I ate 3 cups of my brown rice, quinoa and lentil concoction. I followed it up with just a little Cauliflower… enough to add some fiber, but not enough to fill my stomach. I was pleasantly fulfilled.

This was about 6 hours before bed.

Three hours later, I did it again completing my requirement for 200 grams of carbohydrates spread over the last two meals of the day. I noticed no cravings due to the insulin spike so that was very good. With this second carbohydrate loaded meal, I chose to eat more Cauliflower with it just to see if I could fit it all in. No problem.

I woke up this morning and began my regular program of protein, fat, vegetables and ¼ cup of Oatmeal. What I'm choosing to do is stay WAY below the 30 grams of allowed carbohydrates during my normal days and only having Oatmeal as my active carb with my first meal of the day.

I now begin my first 4 day carbohydrate cycle. The first cycle is 3 days followed by a second cycle of 4 days and then repeating.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Any unusual body reactions?

When I drop the heavy carbs (sugar) for fruits and veggies, I drop a lot of water quickly.

No... nothing unusual at all... More energy, feeling better... happier about life... Weird. I wrote an entire blog entry on my other blog called "I Feel Good nananananana..." but with one wrong click of a button, POOF, it was all gone. Which inspired me to write this Write Your Post In An External Editor First.

S .. I feel good. I remember it being hard last time to do the carb meals, but I think I was trying to cram 200g of Carbohydrates into 1 meal rather than 2. Eating 6 cups of brown rice at one sitting would be a challenge for anyone just due to sheer bulk of the meal. I had expected a sudden rush of insulin, but it never came. It was there, doing it's job, but it didn't affect me. I'm onto my 2nd cycle now... I won't keep updating all the cycles because that would go on for years, but I'll post about first first few just so readers understand how it works

Joe, Never heard of it. It sounds like a thermogenic aid. I don't see a need to use it or recommend it as most people need to create new eating habits first. Eating 5 meals a day for women and 6 a day for men will increase thermogenics in most people and they'll get the results they need without having to pay for a diet pill as well.

I'd rather teach proper eating habits that stay with people for life rather than taking a fat loss pill.

I used Lean System 7 a few years ago when I was getting closer to my goal and it was fine. I also tried Brad King's Abs Plus (I think it was called)... a very natural thermogenic formula. I chose those because I trust the people who were behind them, namely Shawn Phillips and Brad King.

But if was after I added the Burn the Fat that I finally cranked up my metabolism / thermogenics and dropped body fat like nobody's business. I stopped Lean System 7 after I began BFFM.
