Yeah Rob I agree!!!!!!!!!!
we use two farms at the moment http://www.pinkpigfarm.co.uk and http://www.unclehenrys.co.uk Now some people say “lee your sick” you go and stroke the pigs, then go and buy pork??????, yes I do, I Love going seeing them, and seeing how well treated they are, Lets face it, Iam going to buy meat to eat,so if I go to a supermarket how do i know how the animals have been treated, also as for the veg, i know its all grown local, its not come 10,000 miles to be on my plate!!!!!…..
In 8 weeks time we are of to greece for a week, and I cant wait!!!!, WHY,well its not for the beach or the pool or the sun, altough i do like them ha ha, its for the food, the greek salads, the fresh fish hmmmmmm (sorry rob, your not a seafood lover ha),just everything tastes soooo nice, hows this for fresh, i went to kefalonia once, and in a taverna they had a notice up saying “try sea urchins”, so i thought ok, so I asked the guy if i could have a try, at that he started getting undressed, then off he goes into the sea in his underwear and 5 mins later he comes out of the sea with a bag of sea urchins, sits at my table, gets a knife and cuts the base of the urchin out and hands it to me, “try try” he says, so i do and its like so intense, pure taste of the sea, I smiled and thanked him, then he cut another then another ha ha, what could i do, i didnt want to say no, but as much as I would never try one again, I loved the experience, and the fact the guy went and got them out of the sea “fresh”
Another time in greece, lesvos this time, i met this older couple and we ended up meeting up at the same taverna every night, we became mates with the owner of the taverna. One night the owner said ” I have 15 ships, you want to go see them in the morning” me and john thought wow 15 ships, this guy must be loaded ha ha, so we agreed………… 5am the next morning, me and john where waiting outside the taverna, very hungover from the wine the night before, the owner turns up, and we jump in his car, 30 mins later we are in a lil village square, all these old greek blokes sat around, we sit down and are handed shots of ouzo, yes ouzo at 5.30am, and the strongest coffee i have ever tasted, then back in the car we set off, and we headed too the mountains, john says “huh ships go in water, not in mountains”, it was then the owner said there my “ships”, we looked and there was a lil hut, ahhhhhhhhhh “ships” are “sheeps” well infact they were goats ha ha, so me and john sat in a stinking hut, with flies, watching him milk them, IT WAS AWESOME,then we carried all the milk to the car,and back to the taverna,he boiled some milk up and bottled it for us “drink when cold” he said and we did, and it was soooo nice, another memory i will never forget, thats what my holidays are about, learning about greek life, YOU lot still AWAKE lol
