Based on the same principles and ideas as the Grain Free For A Week Challenge.

I decided that with Jan here and some hefty goals for the first 47 days of it, I would kick it off with a complete removal of grain for an entire month.

With the missing calories from the brown rice and the whole grain wraps I usually use, I'm making up for it with extra volume in green veggies.

Namely bok choy, swiss chard, gai lan and brocolli.  I eat a lot of those already, but I'm increasing it a bit more.  As a side note, I'm also taking on a month of vegetarian on TOP of this, so I've dropped a lot of calories from both the meat and the grains.

I've added another tablespoon of Udo's Oil to my meal too, and am eating more lentil and mung bean dahl – which I love.

I'm on day 7 and I was telling Darlene that I've actually forgotten that I've eliminated meat and grain.  I only thought to do this entry when I saw the other challenge.

I had planned Pizza as a reward meal after I did two back to back 9 day cleanses but then realized that the crust was grain based.  I set the intention to come up with another reward meal that was NOT grain based.

A few minutes later, one popped into my head.

Dar and I are going to go for Thai / Malaysian food at Tropica and have my favorite Pumpkin Lychee curry and other grain free food.  Mmmmmmm.

I'll save the pizza for when my 30 days of grain free living are done.

It's the 20th of the month and I've been totally grain free.  Pizza for a reward meal was replaced with a Thai-Laos meal out with a buddy.  Thai vegetables and a curry pumpkin lychee dish was what I had.  Very nice.

10 days left on this challenge.

Then, 14 days from today I'll have Pizza as my reward meal.  Looking forward to it.

Then I think I'll wait until Vegas on Feb 17th before thinking about grain again.  It may very well have made it 99% of the way out of my diet.

no problems at all.  Easy.  Increased vegetable intake instead

Had a pizza last night (grain crust) and now I'm back on grain free again.
