1: Quick Intro:
Hello Everyone
I have been spending the summer volunteering at a
bunch of Peak Potentials Training camps held here in
Alberta. It's amazing to see the transformations that
people have. They come in as ducklings and leave
either Enlightened Warriors or Wizards.
I've been planning on doing the famous West Coast
Trail on the west coast of Vancouver Island for a
couple of years and am heading out on August 27 for
seven days of hiking. It's 77 KM long (48 miles).
I'll post some pics on my site and let you know about
it when I get back.
It goes without saying that I never would have
considered hiking over 11KM a day with a 70lb pack on
my back 14 years ago when I was 500 pounds.
Until Next time,
Eat Well, Be Well,

The single most important factor in taking action on
anything in your life is to empower yourself!
I was able to lower my stress levels about money,
relationships and take my business to the next level
after taking the Millionaire Mind Intensive offered
by T.Harv Eker. This is a 3 day intensive workshop
that will recondition yourself for "automatic"
success.
F R E E courses offered in Alberta, California,
British Columbia, Washington and now Florida.

2: Why Weight Management?
Most people are interested in weight loss without
considering the role the mind plays in our success.
If you use the term weight loss, your subconscious
has been trained over years to find what's been lost.
What I teach is about "Fat Burning", not fat loss. I
teach how to make your body and mind more efficient at
using fat as a fuel source to be burned and never
stored again. The other thing people don't consider
about weight is that muscle is GOOD weight. The idea
is to become leaner and then use that lean muscle
tissue to support your fat burning goals. Your heart,
lungs, kidneys, liver and other organs are all muscle
and when they are fed better, they become stronger and
you weight more. The program I teach incorporates
so much enzyme rich juiced food based on thousands of
years of Chinese knowledge that the body simply
becomes more efficient and then leaner. That lean
muscle tissue helps your body burn fat.
If you're underweight, the same thinking applies. Eat
more nutritious foods, exercise and focus on building
muscle, not putting on weight. I knew a fellow with a
Vata body type who was eating high fat foods and a lot
of dairy in order to increase his calories so that he
would put on weight. What he was doing was taxing
his digestion and gaining fat, not muscle. Then
eating in a way not supportive of his Vata body type.
More on the importance of digestion in the next
section.
The body is a complex system nearly perfect in design.
It knows lean is best and strives for that balance.
"Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food"
-Hippocrates
There are thousands of plants on this planet, the
question is "how many are you incorporating into your
daily food program?"
Think weight management, not weight loss.

3: Digestion:
The very first strategy I learned on my road down from
475 pounds was about digestion. The role digestion
plays in weight management is huge. Think about it,
everything having to do with food begins in the mouth
and stomach. If we're not digestion our food, we're
not getting any value from it. We can be eating all
the best foods, but still starving. Overweight people
are not the only ones who suffer from poor digestion.
Underweight people can have difficulty gaining weight
due to the same issues.
When anyone asks me for coaching, the first thing we
discuss is letting go of fat loss and embracing
health. For most of the first few months if not year
the priority is education on digestion. Digestion is
the most energy consuming thing the body does.
Improve digestion and the energy that once was wasted
can now be used for health and regeneration. Fat loss
is usually experienced during that first year, but
it's no longer the focus.
Some tips for better digestion:
--- eliminate non foods like coffee, tea, chocolate,
vinegar, cola's, condiments.
--- separate protein and starch meals. Eat Protein
and vegetables, or starch and vegetables.
--- eat fruit by itself on an empty stomach and leave
it for 1/2 an hour to 45 minutes followed by a
glass of water.
--- drink distilled water, not tap or spring water.
--- eat only fruit or fruit juices until the noon meal
for a few months. This will free up a lot of
energy from digestion, but will also produce a
cleansing response. Read more on my web site:
http://www.formerfatguy.com/whole-food-nutrition.asp
--- remove dairy products from your diet. They are
very mucous forming as well as poor for digestion.
There is more calcium in a glass of carrot juice
than in a cup of milk.
--- stop eating at least 3 hours before bed.
The energy released by improving your digestion will
be used for many purposes. Too many to list, but
understand that your body will use that newfound
energy to improve your health.

Quit Drinking Coffee and Tea...
For those eliminating or wanting to eliminate coffee
or tea from your diet, I recommend a whole food
beverage offered by Sunrider called Calli. Shao-lin
temple priests ate this formula of whole food herbs
as a salad for it's ability to improve mental clarity
and improved concentration.
Now available in a concentrated whole food beverage,
Calli is alkaline in nature and has less caffeine than
a carrot.
Calli can aid digestion and by it's alkaline nature,
less impurities are likely to be absorbed or retained
from normal digestion.

4: Thanks:
Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance
to draw back, always ineffectiveness, concerning all
acts of initiative (and creation). There is one
elementary truth the ignorance of which kills
countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment
one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves
too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would
never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of
events issues from the decision, raising in one's
favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings
and material assistance which no man could have
dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do
or dream you can,.... begin it! Boldness has genius,
power and magic in it.
Johan Wolfgang Von Goethe, 1749-1832, Poet, Lawyer,
Playwright.
His masterpiece is the well-known play --Faust.
Take Action!
Thanks for reading.
