The long awaited 'updated' recent photo of me. Taken during a Valentines party in
Los Angeles on 15th of Febuary (hence the red). We learned ballroom dancing during this party
from world renowned championship ballroom dancers. The party was in the Bonaventure Hilton which was
the location for filming of part of the movie 'Line of Fire' with Clint Eastwood, as well as 'True Lies' with
Arnold. I was in the elevator that Arnold rode the horse in and also the one where the assassin fell out of in the
end of 'In the line of fire'.

Another shot during Warrior Training with some of the campers taking the course. I took the Enllightened Warrior
training camp myself during 2001, and was there during the 9-11 event. I got so much out of the course and it has changed my
life in so many ways. I now volunteer as a facilitator for the event. More information about my Warrior Camp experience. |

Taekwondo:
I reached the level of Red Belt, but then decided to take a year off to pursue my business endeavours.
The idea is to take my business to the next level by using some spare time (my TKD time), then be able to
resume training when I am able to cease my J.O.B and have extra free time.
Fitness: Oh my gawd.. where do I begin? How do I summarize
two years of training in a paragraph or two? I need to stress the importance of some information I have learned
in just the past few months. I was lucky enough to read a book called 'Fat Wars' by Brad King which gave me an entirely
new prespective on energy cycles, metabolism, the glycemic index, blood sugar and fat burning. I incorporated a lot of the
principle's and quickly lost some of the last of the fat I have been holding on to. Most of you know that I have been vegetarian
for the past 10 years or more, but after hefty consideration, contemplation and soul searching, have incorporated animal meats into
my diet again. I am finding that I am putting on more muscle, burning more fat and have more energy in the gym. I quickly incorporated the
information from two other books, 'ABSolution' by Shawn Phillips and 'Body for Life' by Shawn's brother, Bill Phillips. A lot of the information I
already knew from my years of training, but what I think I got out of it was the idea to simply 'change up' my routine. I'm following Shawns two day split
now and find that I'm working the same body parts twice a week rather than once a week that I had been doing for so long.
The other thing is my intensity levels have gone up. This is due in part to my 'Warrior Training' I have received from T. Harv Eker as well as the philosophy in
Shawn's 'ABSolution'. When I cut my ab workouts from 1/2 an hour down to 10 minutes, but increased the intensity, I have not had them get so hard, nor in such a
short period of time, with such little time invested. Funny eh, how nutrition, training and intensity produces results? Then I moved into a program of
ABCDE, which stands for Anabolic Burst Cycling of Diet and Exercise. A two week phase of over feeding with intense, heavy training with no aerobics, followed by
two weeks of under feeding with light workouts and more aerobics. Amazing results. I put on 9 pounds the first two weeks. 7 pounds muscle, 2 pounds fat. Nice ratio.
I should also mention that two new things that I incorporated recently are the addition of aerobics first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, with weight training in the evenings
after a day of feeding, the removal of all breads in my diet along with the addition of animal protein and low glycemic vegetables. I have received wonderful results.
Reading:
Well, like I said above, 'Fat Wars' by Brad King, 'ABSolution' by Shawn Phillips, 'Body for Life' by Bill Phillips, and I just ordered a book called 'the Warrior Diet' which I saw in an airport in Las Vegas.
Skimming through it, I believe it's based on the ABCDE principles, but want to get a better handle on it.
Radio Show:
The most interesting news of late, is my new radio show called 'the Former Fat Guy show - Fit, Wise and Well' being broadcast on the internet via straming audio. You can see all the guests, the archives
etc on my website dedicated to it.. Fit Wise and Well. I will be interviewing the leading speakers on nutrition, health, wellness and personal growth. There is an amazing line up
for the first quarter including Shawn Phillips, Brad King, Monica Brant, Bill Pearl, Udo Erasmus as well as my mentor, T. Harv Eker who I rave about. Take his 'Warrior Training Camp' and you'll never be the same person. I
came away from it a better person, increased my bench press, improved my business income, and simply accept myself for who I am. I highly recommend his courses. The show airs live Monday mornings starting March 3, 2003 at 9:00 AM pacific, and then
is repeated 12 hours later at 9:00PM pacific.
The shows are archived and available on my Fit Wise and Well website. You are now able to hear me live, call in and ask anything you want.

Take care everyone!, eat well, be well! Get out a go for a walk!
